"There just doesn't seem to be as much use for me as there used to be. The kids are all grown up now. Jamie, Amanda, even Matthew, have their own lives to lead. They all get along fine without me."

"That's not true, Ada. We need you. Nothing would be the same without you."

Ada gives you a small smile that quickly fades.

"No. That's nice of you to say, but I'm getting older now. I don't feel as well as I used to. Sometimes the pain-- No, I'm not going to complain. I've lived a full life with no regrets. If my time is up, I want to go out with a wink and a grin."
