SYNOPSES: SEPTEMBER 1981

SEPTEMBER 1, 1981 (EP. #4359)
Cecile wrote an appointment in Jamie’s book, then convinced Jamie to visit Mac at the hospital. Sandy remembered vowing not to let his past hurt Mac again. Mitch called the police after finding his dark room burglarized. Stu Massey offered Sandy a job fixing the horses on a merry-go-round near the pier. Jerry was too distracted to help Larry investigate the burglary at Mitch’s dark room. Marianne bandaged Jamie’s ribs as Olivia instructed. Mac asked for his memoirs to be brought to the hospital by Liz, who found them on Mac’s desk where Jamie has been working. Jerry told Larry he’d see Russ for a follow-up appointment when he finds the time. Stu put Sandy to work. Mac asked to see Jamie after Liz told him that his memoirs were on his desk. Alice urged Jamie not to let Sandy jeopardize his relationship with Mac. Philip told Mitch that the dock site is now owned by the Blackhawk Project and agreed to get Mitch another camera, but thought getting more pictures of the dock site would be a problem. Denny questioned Quinn after being interrogated by Larry and Jerry about the burglary. Jamie resolved to find the copy of the “Miriam Sanderson” chapter when Mac accused him of stealing his memoirs. Curtis admitted to Denny that Mitch’s photographs were pilfered because the Blackhawk project is involved in top secret government affairs. Jamie asked Cecile about the “Miriam Sanderson” chapter of Mac’s memoirs, which is now missing. Mitch was caught by a guard trying to take pictures of the dock site. Alice asked Mac if she could read his memoirs sometime. Stu refused to identify Sandy in a picture Cecile showed him. Liz was surprised to find Jamie still at the Complex looking for a copy of the “Miriam Sanderson” chapter. Sandy denied knowing about anyone looking for him.

SEPTEMBER 2, 1981 (EP. #4360)
Sandy decided to make a phone call after Stu told him a blonde woman was looking for him. Cecile called hotels looking for Sandy. Jamie refused to read the rest of Mac’s memoirs and felt Mac didn’t believe him when Jamie assured Mac he didn’t steal them. Andrew Barris interviewed Mitch for a photography job and offered to find Rachel a position in the art department. Cecile discovered Sandy’s whereabouts. Doris told Jamie that he allows other people to influence how he feels about himself. Sally told Sandy that Cecile is in Santa Monica when he called the Complex. Sandy asked Stu to tell Cecile his whereabouts if he sees her again. Alice assured Mac that Jamie will get over his hurt and become a stronger person as a result of it. Sandy refused when Cecile tried to convince him to return to Bay City, but agreed to have dinner with her later. Jamie agreed to let Cecile remain in Santa Monica for another day. Doris advised Mac not to smother Jamie. Mitch asked Jamie why Cecile didn’t tell him about Sandy’s relationship with Mac when she knew all along. Cecile confided in Sandy about her supposed marital problems with Jamie. Mitch suggested Jamie accept that he was drugged and to figure out the reasons. Brian approved of Mac’s budding relationship with Alice. Cecile and Sandy nearly entwined on the beach after Cecile told Sandy she has fallen in love with him. Jamie was short with Cecile when she called asking to remain in Santa Monica for an additional day. Cecile thought of kissing Sandy on the beach.

Jamie asked Sally to deliver a file on the dock site to Denny. Jamie wasn’t happy to hear from Sally that Sandy called the Complex looking for Cecile. Cecile asked to talk to Sandy. Larry suggested Leigh help Blaine move to earn some extra cash for an engagement ring. Jerry arrived to help Larry and Clarice move. Larry urged Jerry to tell Kit he loves her. Sally was surprised when Quinn knew she was coming to the Blackhawk Project and was impressed by Denny’s office. Sandy felt Cecile was just lonely and should return home when she revealed her feelings for him. Russ told Mac he is being assigned a full-time nurse and therapy. Philip had Jamie read an editorial he wrote which praised Jamie for his work in exposing organized crime in Bay City. Philip encouraged Jamie to continue writing. DA Arthur Cunningham called to arrange a meeting with Jason. Alice convinced Russ to appoint her as Mac’s live-in nurse. Cecile lied to Mac that she hasn’t found Sandy to buy more time in Santa Monica. Louise overheard Mac tell Alice he didn’t object to her taking care of him. Jason asked Denny if he is currently practicing law. Mac advised Louise that Rachel doesn't have a say in his decisions when Louise wondered about Rachel's reaction to Alice being Mac's full-time nurse. Sally told Jamie that Cecile never mentioned that Sandy is Mac’s son. Cecile informed Sandy that Jamie learned that Sandy is Mac’s son and the revelation is hurting Mac and Jamie‘s relationship. Sally argued about Denny with Leigh, who defended his job at the Ledger. Ada told Jamie that Rachel found out about Sandy through Cecile. Cecile tried to convince Sandy to come back to Bay City. Ada suggested Jamie think about why Cecile married him and the reasons why she may no longer need to be married to him. Sandy vowed to keep his distance from Cecile while she‘s married to Jamie.

SEPTEMBER 4, 1981 (EP. #4362)
Mac asked Alice to bring Amanda to the hospital for a visit. Mac wondered if he and Sandy could make amends with Jamie after Cecile called to say that Sandy has agreed to return to Bay City. Sandy arrived at Cecile’s hotel room to accompany her to the airport. Rachel came over to talk with Jamie. Rachel told Jamie that she learned that Sandy is Mac’s son from Cecile and that Cecile kept it secret to destroy him. Louise told Ada that Alice is intruding in the Cory household by being Mac’s full-time nurse. Jamie defended Cecile to Rachel, who felt Cecile was using Jamie until she snags Sandy. Denny suggested Jason ask for immunity when Jason revealed his upcoming meeting with the DA and involvement in Tracy‘s death. Kit was surprised when Jerry gave his blessing to her engagement to Joey, then interrogated her about it as Rick walked by. Jerry insisted to Rick that he is fine and refused an examination. Andrew Barris offered Mitch a photography job and told him there’s an opening for an art instructor. Rachel accused Alice of using Jamie and Amanda to get close to Mac. Alice told Rachel that she is going to be Mac’s full-time nurse. Kit assured Rick that she and Joey have worked out their previous marital problems. Larry asked Brian to talk to Jerry. Jason told Melissa that the DA isn’t pressing charges against him for his involvement with the syndicate. Russ approved when Olivia mentioned she was offered a job in Seattle. Amanda visited with Mac and Alice. Mitch interrupted Rachel fuming about Alice to discuss moving to San Francisco. Cecile asked Sandy to drive her home. Jamie remembered Cecile trying to convince him to let her find Sandy. Mitch told Rachel his plans to move to San Francisco alone to get settled and suggested she join him later. Jamie took notice when Sandy and Cecile arrived together at the suite.

Olivia informed Rick that her divorce from Robert Delaney is final and that there's no hope for her and Russ because he's still in love with Tracy. Rick told Olivia that he would like his residency to be in psychiatry under Dr. Wagner. Rachel told Ada about her conversation with Mac and that Mitch has accepted a job in San Francisco. Mac refused to let Sandy blame himself for Jamie’s problems and tried to assure Sandy that he still considers Jamie his son as well. Louise wasn’t happy to hear from Ada that Mitch and Rachel are moving to San Francisco. Rhonda convinced Jerry to go on a bike ride through the park with her. Mac discussed Rachel’s accusations with Sandy, who assured Mac he’d never do anything to hurt Jamie. Rick admitted his past problems to Doris, who interviewed him for residency in the psychiatric department. Mitch told Rachel to concentrate on them being reunited in San Francisco. Louise prepared a room for Sandy, who’s moving into the Cory estate. Rhonda kissed Jerry, who promised to call her tomorrow. Cecile planted kisses on a distant Jamie. Mitch called Larry after finding his equipment back in the dark room. Louise surprised Mac, Sandy, Alice, and Brooks when they arrived home to find Rachel and Amanda waiting for them. Cecile called Mac, who asked to see Jamie. Curtis informed Denny that the penthouse must be ready for Mr. Black’s arrival. Jamie warned Sandy to stay out of his life and marriage to Cecile. Sandy tried to assure Jamie that his relationship with Mac hasn’t changed, but was speechless when Jamie asked if he was in love with Cecile. Melissa warned Sandy against Cecile.
