The convention is a large gathering of television programming executives. This chat is based from NBC’s interactive booth
directly on the convention floor.
Our guests today include AMY CARLSON and TIM GIBBS of "Another World"; Hank Cheyne, Laura Harring and Peter
Baton of "Sunset Beach" and Joseph Mascolo of "Days of Our Lives."

Joining us first will be Amy Carlson and Timothy Gibbs.

Amy Carlson joined the cast as Josie Watts in December 1993.
Her TV credits also include "The Untouchables," "Missing Persons" and "Legacy of Lies," and she had a featured role in the
feature film "The Babe. While attending Knox College in Illinois, she appeared on stage in "Fifth of July", "Titanic", "Antigone",
"A Lie of the Mind" and "Noises Off.
Timothy Gibbs originated the role of police Lt. Gary Sinclair, a recovering alcoholic, in April 1995. The actor also appeared
as a series regular on "Santa Barbara", "Rousters" and "Father Murphy". His other television credits include "Father Dowling Mysteries,"
"Growing Pains", "Secrets", "Police Story", "Family Honor", "Goldie and the Boxer Go to Hollywood", "Huckleberry Finn" and the
Emmy-winning movies "Contract for Life" and "Dead Wrong". Gibbs was seen in the feature films "Witchboard II",
"The Kindred", "Just Between Friends" and "A Letter from Brian." He has also appeared in a number of
commercials, including several with sports celebrities such as Merlin Olson Hank Aaron and Wilt
Chamberlain. Gibbs was born in Calabasas, Calif.

Here's our first question: Tina Avery-Labrador city, NF-Canada. What persuaded you to become an
actor/actresses?
Tim_Gibbs:
For me two words -- brass knuckles.
Amy_Carlson:
It was because my mother was directing plays at the grade school and I missed her.
NBCshowHost:
Heather Malecki Florida. What is your favorite thing about working on t.v.
Amy_Carlson:
My favorite thing about working on tv is the incredible sense of satisfaction from wearing designer clothes
and having someone else do my hair
Tim_Gibbs:
Is the access that it gives me to people. All different types of folks from all different places doing all
different things .

Melanie Solis--Are Gary and Josie ever going to find out the truth about Grant and his connection to Cody
and the danger he put Josie through
Tim_Gibbs:
We don't know yet the producers havent told us. But Cody Mercer was actually played by MacKenzie Phillips.

Tim: is Josie still a good a kisser?
Tim_Gibbs:
Yes but she's better at.....
Amy_Carlson:
Would you stop! Tim is constantly alluding to my outstanding athletic abilities.

What would you want to do if you didn't act?
Amy_Carlson:
I would want to direct films or drive a race car
Tim_Gibbs:
I would do exactly what Amy said, she just stole my answer.

What's the funniest thing that's happening during a taping?
Tim_Gibbs:
When Diego Serrano's towel fell off.
NBCshowHost:
Do either of you folks go online at all to surf the web, write e-mail or get stock quotes? (Bill in Maine)
Amy_Carlson:
No but I hear all the time from friends of mine who do that I have a ghost or a friend who posts updates on
my personal activities which is hilarious because I'm having alot more fun than I'm aware of
Tim_Gibbs:
