When Michael left Donna in early 1991, he was quick to turn to Stacey. Donna was not happy to hear of it, neither was Vicky, but Michael continued to see Stacey.
Stacey never seemed particularly happy with Michael. In June she told him that she had lost track of herself ever since they got involved and she ran off to Los Angeles to find herself. They said a sad good-bye in his car at the airport, and as Stacey broke away, Michael murmured, "I love you." It was the first time he had ever said it to her, but she hadn't heard him.
