Rachel is a professional sculptor. Housebound and bored awaiting the birth of her baby in 1975, Rachel decided to take up sculpting. She began sculpting professionaly in 1976 and became a very famous and sought-after artist. She opened her own art gallery in 1981.

Rachel was a model from the 1960s until 1970. She co-owned the Fireside Inn restaurant with then-husband Ted Clark from 1971-1973. She was a clerical aide for lawyer John Randolph in 1974.

In his will, Mac Cory left his widow Rachel controlling interest in his company, Cory Publishing. For four years after his death, she functioned as CEO. In late 1993, she resigned from the board, wanting to return to her art.

A sculpture done in the 1970s was of Walter Brown, AW's chief carpenter.
