In 1996 Tomas and Sofia went out on a couple friendly dates. Both
decided they liked each other better as friends.
At the start of 1997, Sofia and Tomas became roommates. At the close of the year, Tomas had fallen in love with Sofia. He wrote her an anonymous love letter following the lead of Sofia's boyfriend Nick who was also penning anonymous letters. When the complications were sorted out, Sofia let Tomas down as gently as she could. Tomas moved out of their loft, and left town a couple weeks later.
